"Wind Dance" is an Irish love story set to music against the terrible "Troubles" in Northern Ireland. It is the story of Michael and the beautiful Maureen. Michael mourns the death of his activist wife whose life was taken in the struggle. In the final scene he sings the hauntingly beautiful theme for the musical. If you haven't heard it you should. It is so moving it inspired this painting.
